Russia deploys more troops along border

The United States has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once. Russia has deployed more than 6,000 new troops along the border.

Russia could launch an attack on Ukraine at any time, according to the BBC, citing US security officials.

Moscow has already said that part of the troops have been repatriated from the Ukrainian border to the main base after the exercise. However, the western countries are claiming that they have not found proper proof of this claim.

Western nations, including the United States, have been demanding the deployment of more than 100,000 Russian troops along Ukraine’s border. Russia has repeatedly denied the allegations.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said they had not seen any evidence of troop withdrawals.

Last Wednesday, President Zelensky declared a “national patriotic holiday” in Ukraine in the wake of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine, based on a US intelligence report.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Scott Enberg said there was no sign of a withdrawal.

Russia has said, it wants to draw attention to the issue by withdrawing troops. But now we know that their claim is false.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not order an attack on Ukraine.  However, the BBC says the shadow of the crisis is long.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Wednesday it had withdrawn more troops as exercises ended in the southern and western military districts near Ukraine. As evidence, they also released a video.
